At this meeting, we will be ironing out the Mexico Build and hanging out City Center shopping lists for the children that currently reside there.

For those of of you that do not know, Ventura Rotaract partners with Corazon and travels to Mexico every year to help build a loving home for a deserving family. It is definitely an experience. This year, we are going on Veteran's Day Weekend. We drive to San Diego Friday night, take a charter bus into Mexico Saturday morning, then come back to San Diego on the same night.

One of our huge annual events is having Christmas with City Center of Ventura. "The City Center is Ventura’s only transitional housing center that does not receive government funding. The City Center truly offers a handup…not just a handout…. through extensive case management as well as mentoring programs provided for its residents." We purchase and wrap presents for the children there, and on the night of the event, we have dinner, mingle, and Santa comes to deliver all of the presents!
